Trashy Diver Contest
For the past three years, the Roddenberry Dive Team and NAUI Green Diver Initiative have partnered to challenge all ocean enthusiasts to collect trash from aquatic habitats and photograph the results to win prizes for being good environmental stewards.
The Trashy Diver Contest is a program that raises awareness about the issue of pollution in our local waterways. We encourage your to be a "Trashy Diver" and help us keep our beaches, shorelines, lakes, rivers, and oceans healthy and clean for future generations to enjoy.
We are proud to announce that we will launch the fourth annual Trashy Diver Contest in June 2014. You can start taking photos of marine debris that you collect from our oceans, rivers, lakes and creeks and submit them when the contest beings this summer. Stay tuned for details!
NAUI Green Diver Initiative
Formed by the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) in association with the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund (DWCF), the NAUI Green Diver Initiative is a community of individuals dedicated to Practicing Aquatic Conservation Together (P.A.C.T.)!
The NAUI Green Diver Initiative is intended to empower individuals who, through their initiative, discover how they can make a difference — no matter how seemingly insignificant. When shared with the community, the seemingly insignificant can add up to phenomenal impacts.
Green Divers are beach walkers, scuba divers, environmental activists, and ocean enthusiasts who all share a common concern for the vitality of our underwater world.
